for fellowship. Members routinely
see other members as being among
their closest friends.
Helpful resources are on our
website, including a short paper
listing our benefits and a video.
Hopefully, you’ve heard that
the MRC is trying to frontload
its process this year. We’d like to
get our nominations in before
January 1, 2025. This is ambitious,
but beneficial. It will give our
Admissions Committee more time,
add to our rolls sooner, and spare
you from the continuous push
you’ll hopefully enjoy a few months
off.
While we still want more
nominations, the biggest challenge
may be converting nominees
to completed applicants.
Our application process is
comprehensive and time
consuming. This process is needed
to ensure that we get the best of
the best. Still, to get applications
completed, some nominees will
need a push, and I again ask for
your help. If you are the nominator
or the second for anyone, please
contact the nominee. Invite the
nominee to lunch or another event.
Encourage the nominee to submit
the application and remind them of
the benefits of membership.
Remember, your favorite charity
can get an award for your good
work. The member who generates
the most completed applications
before January 1, 2025 gets $1000
to the accredited charity of the
nominator’s choice. Second place
gets $500.

hope will be a long
FDCC journey.
