FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Safety and Fire Department aims at providing life safety,
preventing property damage and ensuring protection of
operations. Safety against fire is maintained and enhanced
without exhausting natural resources or damaging the
environment. It involves study of subjects that deals with the
designing of safer fire resistant equipments and plants, its
hazards and control measures in various engineering fields
and managerial functions which aids in managing fire
fighting along with other psychological grooming required to
make a self reliant Safety and Fire Engineer.
It is established in the year 2011, the Safety and Fire
Department of TIST moulds competent technical graduates
who are competent in evaluating hazardous conditions and
practices, developing hazard control designs and methods
and drafting future safety plans based on real time
experiences and facts. Our students find excellent placements
in public and private sector industries and health care.
Safety and Fire Department of TIST is also actively involved
in various off campus activities which is highly beneficial to
the society.
