Ryan Johnston

Ryan Johnston began his career in private investigations as a surveillance investigator
in April of 1984, being hired by past PPIAC President Bob Heales, at RA Heales and
Associates. He continued with this company until 2000 when he started his own
company, Night Moves of Denver, still specializing in surveillance investigations.
In 2017, Bob Heales retired and sold his company to Ryan who at that time re-
branded the two companies into Colorado Private Investigations, LLC, still with a
focus on surveillance investigations. To this day Ryan still enjoys conducting
surveillance on a daily basis.

In November 2011, Ryan joined PPIAC and immediately upon being accepted into
the association, took on the role of a board member as VP of Legislation. In 2014,
Ryan and several other PPIAC members, who are also involved in this CIDI training,
assisted in the passing of PI licensing for the first time in Colorado, in over 30 years.
In November of 2014, Ryan was elected as President of PPIAC and served two terms

in that position. Ryan continues to participate in PPIAC as a member of the
legislative committee.
