Ability to react quickly
u Surveillance is a series of events unknown to the investigator
u Need to be able to react if subject:
u Stops and goes inside a building
u Parks and boards another vehicle, bus, train etc
u Departs on a bicycle, taking bike only trails
u Parks and begins travelling significant distances on foot
u Goes into a secured area

Type of vehicle
u Plain outside appearance
u You want to blend in and look like many other vehicles on the road
u While driving around, take notice of the most prevalent body style and
colors of vehicles
u Rear bucket seats or bench seats with room to sit comfortably for hours
u Window tint/18% (Colorado)
u Ideal if you have the ability to own several different vehicles
u When necessary for a different vehicle, consider renting a vehicle
