Reflections from the Deputy Principals
Challenges
2020 was a year of change and challenge, requiring everyone to draw on their creativity, problem- solving skills, and adaptation.
The lockdowns ushered in Zoom meetings, online learning, and new safety protocols.
We are so lucky to have a dedicated team of staff, and a supportive community which ensured our students well being and that they received the best possible home learning opportunities.
New Learning
Despite the interruptions and lockdowns, teachers continued with the professional development in Maths, focusing this year more on planning, assessment, and independent learning tasks.
To prepare for the move into the new building next year, we also enlisted the help of Jacque Allen to start our journey towards flexible learning spaces, collaborative practice, and increased student ownership in learning.
We wish you all a happy and safe summer break and look forward to the new learning opportunities and challenges 2021 will present.
