SHAFT GROUNDING BRUSHES
Motor shaft currents can cause damage to both the motor and the encoder bearings. Select Avtron encoders have an integral shaft
grounding brush option.

MOTOR SHAFT ISOLATION
The HS25A, HS35A & HS45 hollow shaft encoders are available with a shaft isolating insert to insulate the encoder from the motor
shaft. This eliminates induced shaft currents common to AC motor applications. The HS35M features a fully insulated housing for shaft
isolation. No bearing, modular encoders, AV5 through AV850 are inherently isolated from shaft currents.

OVERSPEED SWITCHES
The AV45, AV85, AV485, AV685, AV850 and HS45 encoders can be mounted with a mechanical overspeed switch on the same shaft
assembly. This single assembly eliminates the need for couplings or foot mounting pedestals.
