A BETTER CHOICE HAS ARRIVED
Raptor
Coupling maintenance and reliability should not monopolize your maintenance team. The Baldor-Dodge
Raptor Coupling eliminates these concerns. The Raptor’s easy to assemble, patented split natural rubber
element significantly decreases total costs of ownership and extends driven equipment life. Built for drop-
in interchangeability, the Raptor features an innovative design offering easier installation, reduced mainte-
nance, and improved reliability in a wide range of new and existing applications. The Baldor-Dodge Raptor:
A better choice has finally arrived.
Elastomeric Coupling Innovation
For reduced maintenance, the Raptor offers a split element for easy installation and replacement
without moving or re-aligning connected equipment. Slotted clamp ring holes offer extra clearance for
mounting hardware, resulting in a noticeably easier installation. Designed for drop-in interchangeability,
Suitable for a broad range of industrial applications, Raptor couplings are third-party ATEX certified for use
in hazardous environments. Raptor elements are also available with an Armored Element that exceeds
ASTM 1149-07 rubber deterioration standards for use in extreme environments.
“Slotted clamp ring holes offer 187% extra
clearance for mounting hardware, resulting in a
noticeably easier installation,” explained Matt
Wolford, product manager for Dodge couplings.
“Raptor is also designed for drop-in
interchangeability, ensuring this coupling works
in many existing applications without any
modifications. Plus, the Raptor is backed by a
five-year warranty, even when used with
competitor’s components.”
DOCUMENTED PERFORMANCE
Comparative benchmark testing confirms the performance
improvements associated with Raptor’s WingLock element
design. Even under worst-case misalignment and torque
conditions, testing results show that the Raptor lasts six
times longer than the closest competitor.
Results based on accelerated life testing at 1.5x catalog
torque, while subject to 4° angular misalignment and 3/16”
parallel misalignment.
