accident, they wanted to do ev- erything they could to return the favor.
Hanser is a recently retired firefighter from Laconia Fire Department and owns Stephen Hanser’s Roofing. Steve has al- ways been the first person to step up and help out when someone has had a tragedy in their life. Hanser is the type of guy who will get creative with different ways on how he can help and give back to the community, and it truly has not gone unno- ticed. When COVID hit, Steve went around buying gift cards from local businesses and do- nated to local charities with the money. He partnered with the Tapply-Thompson Community Center to put on the Gift Card Calendar Event, where Hanser was able to bring the community
together to buy gift cards from local businesses and donate them to the TTCC so they could cre- ate gift card calendars that would be available for purchase. That way, the TTCC and many local businesses could be supported during the difficult COVID-19 times that many small companies know all too well.
Hanser also helped roof Bristol Community Services by donating his time and rounding up different volunteers to help make it happen. He’s also done a lot for the schools in the com- munity, as well as some coaching at the Tapply- Thompson Com- munity Center. The list of things he’s done for the community over the years is endless. Hanser created the “Newfound Strong” campaign last year in light of the difficult times COVID-19 was putting the community through, and now the community is rounding back, showing that they
are “Hanser Strong.”
With everything Steve Hanser
has done for the community, the people of the Newfound region just want to give back to him and his family in their time of need. Hanser cares so deeply for the
Newfound Community and has always put them before anything. His helping hand has touched and impacted so many lives in the area, and everyone is doing what they can to show their grat- itude.
