By Brittany amalfi
Mark your calendars, ev- eryone! The Pemi-Valley block party will take place on Saturday, August 28th, from 10:30-3:00 at the ReStore at 583 Tenney Mt. Highway Plymouth, NH. Grab your friends and family and come on down to this wonderful com- munity-building event where you can learn about the outstanding things that Habitat for Human- ity does for its community. The block party will be filled with fun events for all ages, and if you’re looking for the perfect Saturday Summer opportunity, this is the one for you and your family.
The block party is open to the public to come and enjoy live music, food trucks, a fun raffle, and different activities for friends and families. There will also be discounts at the ReStore for pa- trons to check out and enjoy. In addition, Pemi Valley has ven- dors and nonprofits from the area coming to enjoy and meet peo- ple from the community. Some non-profits in attendance will be Voices Against Violence, New England Disabled Sports, and The Pemi Youth Center. For any vendors interested in sponsoring, they can email Beth at giving@ pemivalleyhabitat.org.
“We’re just trying to bring the community together, especially after COVID-19 happening this past year,” Bethany Hacker, the development coordinator, said after being asked about orga- nizing the block party. “We’re really excited to get the commu- nity together, just to enjoy some time outdoors, participating in fun events, and learn more about what all of these wonderful non-profits do.”
