Biography

Stacy is a lifelong resident of West Virginia. She graduated valedictorian from Oak Hill High School in 2001 and
spent the next four years at Marshall University as a John Marshall Scholar earning dual degrees in English and
Secondary Education. From there she began her teaching career, first at the high school level at her alma mater
before transitioning to a middle school classroom. Stacy concluded her 10 years in education as a 5th grade
English/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in a Title 1 elementary school in her current town of Beckley, WV.
While there she earned her National Board Certification in Literacy. She is the proud mother to two children, Connor
and Brenna. Also in her household are her husband of 14 years, their 3 cats, and 2 new doggy additions. She is
honored and delighted to have joined the Advisor team at UC in December of 2021.
