a. True experiment
An inquiry that consider four properties of
                                     experimental research, namely:
                                         • Manipulation
                                               • The researchers subjects the
respondents of the study to a
                                                   particular situation

                                         • Control

                                               • The researcher imposes certain
                                                   conditions over the experimental
                                                   situation.

                                         • Randomization
                                               • The researcher assigns subjects to a
                                                   control or experimental group on
random basis, which means that every
subject has an equal chance of being
                                                   assigned to any group.

                                         • Validity
                                               • In experimental studies and similar
types of studies, the researcher is
                                                   interested in controlling extraneous
                                                   variables that may create spurious
                                                   results or findings.

                                 Types or True Experimental Designs

                                 1. Basic Experiment
                                            • The post-test only design
➢ This refers to the randomization and
                                                   experimental treatment of the subjects
that were completed, followed by a
post test on the performance of the
                                                   subjects on certain variables.
                                            • The pre-test and post-test design
➢ This refers to the pre-test and post-
test conducted before and after the
experimental treatment was done to the
                                                   control and experimental group.

                                 2. Solomon Four Group Design
➢ This involves two control groups and two
                                            experimental groups. One control and
