and regulates the current licensees:

FACTS according to MREC Website
* 23% of all formal complaints are dismissed and no action taken.
* 60% of anonymous complaints re: signs, online advertising, etc. are dismissed, only 28% of the remainder result in any action
* 107 Agreed Orders signed in 2020. Agreed Orders are negotiated with Respondent, MREC attorneys and administrator, after review of the investigative file and with written and oral opportunity to go to a hearing. Commissioners, appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate are not involved in this process in the event respondent chooses to go to hearing in order to protect due process.
