Above, Arizona DAR Regent Morgan Elliott and Arizona C.A.R. President Evan Kobley presented greetings from their organizations to the Arizona Society during the Annual Meeting.
Arizona SAR VP Baran presented Compatriot Brent Miller, Arizona SAR Treasurer the State Meritorious Medal for his leadership of the Treasurer functions.
The Arizona Silver Roger Sherman Medal or oak leaf cluster was awarded to Arizona SAr Registrar Dennis DeAtley and Compatriot Bill Baran for their leadership and body of work.
A George Washington Endowment Fund pin was presented to Compatriot and State Genealogist Paul Wescott, RIM Chapter.
Arizona SAR President Dennis Kavanaugh presented the State Distinguished Service Medal to State Secretary Rob Berryman for his yeoman's work this past year.
Following the awards and medal presentations the meeting moved to the 2021 Arizona SAR State Officers Election. Nominating Committee Chair George Stickney presented the
Arizona SAR Secretary Rob Berryman was presented the State Distinguished Service Medal for his work to improve the process of managing the activities of the Society. Arizona SAR President Dennis Kavanaugh praised Berryman for his work.
committees slate of officers for 2021. Action was taken by the voting members and the slate was approved as presented. After the election was complete Past PG Warren Alter presided over the installation of officers.
The new officers are:
William Baran, PhD, Palo Verde SAR Chapter became the 96th President of the Arizona Society.

Goldwater SAR Chapter; Chaplain, Jerry Davis, Phoenix SAR Chapter; Publicist, Mike Fisch, Saguaro SAR Chapter; Chancellor, Edd Welsh, Esq.; Palo Verde SAR Chapter; Immediate Past President, Dennis Kavanaugh, Palo Verde SAR Chapter; National Trustee: George Stickney, Palo Verde SAR Chapter; Alternate National Trustee, Dennis Kavanaugh, Palo Verde SAR Chapter.
The meeting adjourned with remarks from Compatriots Dennis Kavanaugh and Bill Baran thanking all for attending.
