User & Device
Security policies may allow access to speci ed users and user groups only. Users and User groups are object types in the User & Device category.
User
You can create local users (user accounts are stored on the rewall unit), or remote users (user accounts are stored on a remote authentication server). A user is only active when added to a user group, and can only be deleted after removal from the user group.
The following gure shows the Edit User form for a local user:
For a remote user, you need to specify the remote server.
User Groups
When you add or edit a user group, select group members from the Available Users list.
After you set the type of group and add members, you cannot change the group type without removing the members. In the Edit User Group form, if you change the type of the group, any members will be removed automatically.
