Pleasant Words from the Gospel

An angel of the Lord appeared to them... and they were terri-
fied. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you

good news of great joy that will be for all the people..." (Luke,
                   2:9-11)

Jesus said to him, "Away from me, satan! For it is written: 'Wor-
ship the Lord your God, and serve Him only. Then the devil
left him, and angels came and attended him.'" (Matthew, 4:10-

                   11)

As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be
at the end of the age... God will send out His angels, and they
will weed out of His kingdom everything that causes sin and
all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace...
                   (Matthew, 13:40-42)

This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will
come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw
them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth. "Have you understood all these things?" Je-
                   sus asked. (Matthew, 13:49-50)

He [God] will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and
they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of
the heavens to the other. (Matthew, 24:31; Mark, 13:26-27)

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in

heaven, nor Jesus, but only the God. (Matthew, 24:36)

Jesus said to him... "Do you think I cannot call on God, and He
will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of an-
                   gels?" (Matthew, 26:52-53; Mark, 13:32)
