Pleasant Words from the Gospel
... Praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests." (Luke,
2:13-14)
... Simeon took him in his arms and praised God... (Luke,
2:28)
He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with
them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and
praising God. When all the people saw him walking and
praising God, they recognized him as the same man who
used to sit begging... and they were filled with wonder and
amazement at what had happened to him. (Acts, 3:8-10)
What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany
us as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to
honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help. (2
Corinthians, 8:19)
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves,
men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies
your confession of the Gospel of Christ, and for your gen-
erosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. (2
Corinthias 9:13)
The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking,
the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind see-
ing. And they praised the God... (Matthew, 15:31)
At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth
of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in
the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave
