One of the teachers of the law came and heard them de-
bating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good an-

swer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which
is the most important?" "The most important one," an-
swered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God,
the Lord is One." "Well said, teacher," the man replied.
"You are right in saying that God is One and there is
no other but Him." (Mark, 12:28-32)

... But God is One. (Galatians, 3:20)

There are different kinds of working, but the same
God works all of them in all men. (1 Corinthians, 12:6)

For there is one God... (1 Timothy, 2:5)

Jesus said to him, "... Worship the Lord your God, and
serve Him only." (Matthew, 4:10)

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the
demons believe that—and shudder. (James, 2:19)

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only
God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. (1 Timo-
thy, 1:17)
