The Miracles of our Prophet (saas)

ex cept a Messenger with whom He is well pleased, and
then He posts sen ti nels be fore him and be hind him. (Surat
al-Jinn: 26-27)
One of these cho sen mes sen gers was our proph et
Muhammad (saas); an oth er one was the Prophet Joseph (as).
While in pris on, The Prophet Joseph (as) told two friends about
Allah's ex is tence:

He said: "No meal to feed you will ar rive be fore I have in -
formed you what they [your dreams] mean. That is part of
what my Lord taught me. For I have left the re li gion of a
peo ple who clear ly have no be lief in Allah and do not be -
lieve in the world to come. (Surah Yusuf: 37)
This mir a cle of knowl edge was sup ple ment ed by the
knowl edge of dream in ter pre ta tion. According to Allah's will,
the Prophet Joseph (as) saw some fu ture events. The Prophet
Jesus (as) al so had this type of knowl edge:

… as a Messenger to the tribe of Israel, (who will de clare):
"I have brought you a Sign from your Lord. I will cre ate the
shape of a bird out of clay for you, breathe in to it, and it
will be a bird by Allah's per mis sion. I will heal the blind
and the lep er, and bring the dead to life, by Allah's per mis -
sion. I will tell you what you eat and what you store up in
your homes. There is a Sign for you in that if you are be liev -
ers. (Surah Al 'Imran: 49)
As Allah states in the above verse, the Prophet Jesus (as)
knew what peo ple had eat en and what they were se cret ly stor -
ing. Allah states in the Qur'an that the Prophet Jesus (as) an -
nounced that a proph et named Ahmad would come aft er him
(Surat as-Saff: 6). The Lord told our Prophet (saas) many se cret

things, among them events of the past and the fu ture:
