26 The Glad Tidings of the Messiah (pbuh)

According to the Gospel of
Matthew, the Prophet Jesus
(pbuh) was born while Herod the
Great ruled Palestine (37-4 BCE).
The Herodium palace-fortress,
built for Herod, was located 8 km
south of Jerusalem and com-
prised a palace, where Herod
himself is buried. His tomb has
not yet been discovered.
