Page 215 - The Danger of a Communist Kurdistan
P. 215
The PKK's true aim is to install a communist regime on the
region, then to spread this to all of Turkey and prepare the
foundations for a "communist world state."
In the event that a communist, autonomous Kurdish state is
established, Turkey will quickly become a springboard for commu-
nists. In short, the fundamental plan in seeking autonomy in the
Southeast IS TO QUICKLY BE ABLE TO OPEN UP TO THE OUT-
SIDE WORLD FROM TURKEY, which occupies a most important
area and assumes important responsibilities.
Lenin's idea of "a state under the sovereignty of the proletariat"
now represents the PKK's dream and ideal for Southeast Turkey. A
state under the sovereignty of the proletariat is a machine used to
crush the middle class. When the PKK establishes communist rule in
the region, when it establishes a Kurdish-communist state equipped
with heavy weapons, it will have achieved its aim of founding "a state
under the sovereignty of the proletariat" which they claim will be
founded on workers and peasants. This is the first stage. As we have
seen, the important thing here is not Kurdish nationalism but a com-
munist state supposedly under the leadership of workers and peas-
ants, as required by communism.
