Arab socialism was for many years experienced in an intense
form in countries such as Egypt, Syria, Libya and Palestine. The
events known as the Arab Spring clearly show that the mass of
people were discontent with these socialist regimes and lived
unhappy lives. The events in Arab countries are not sectarian
conflicts, but a struggle by devout peoples against communism.
