16 L LOVE IN THE TORAH
GOD LOVES THOSE WHO BELIEVE
AND HE SHOWS MERCY TO THEM
But showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and
keep My commandments. (Exodus 20:6; Deuteronomy 5:10)
…”The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger,
abounding in love… Maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wicked-
ness, rebellion and sin …’’ (Exodus, 34:6-7)
The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks
to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments,
the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: “He
is good; His love endures forever…” (2 Chronicles, 5:13)
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His
compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your
faithfulness. (Lamentations, 3:22-23)
With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord: “He is good; His love
toward Israel endures forever.”(Eza 3:11)
Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing
love. (Lamentations, 3:32)
Surely, Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with
Your favor as with a shield. (Psalm, 5:12)
