38 L LOVE IN THE TORAH
BELIEVERS FEEL THE JOY OF LOVING
GOD AND HAVING FAITH
But I, by Your great love, can come into Your house; in
reverence I bow down toward Your holy temple… But
let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for
joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love
Your name may rejoice in You. (Psalm, 5:7,11)
I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all
Your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing
the praises of Your Name, O Most High. (Psalm, 9:1-2)
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will
not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my
body also will rest secure, because You will not abandon me to the
realm of the dead, nor will You let your faithful one see decay. You
make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy
in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right
hand. (Psalm, 16:8-11)
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and
my delight. I will praise You with the lyre, O God,
my God. (Psalm, 43:4)
