Another sign for the greening of deserts is
the following hadith: "…every piece of land
will be planted" (Al-Isha‘ah li-ashrat al-
sa‘ah, p.255). If we consider that deserts
make up 43 percent of all land, we can better
understand the importance of greening the
deserts in order to feed starving countries.
