encour aged, where as those who do not are dis par aged
and belit tled. Lifestyles that know no bounds, that care
noth ing for what the scrip tures allow and for bid, and
that regard all forms of excess as per mis si ble have
spread far and wide dur ing the last few dec ades. The
had iths describe this dark age, a her ald of the Mahdi's
com ing, as fol lows:
Strife will be seen, and more will fol low. Such a level of
strife will come that the first will spur the last to clash -
es of swords, and after this there will be such strife that
what is for bid den is regard ed as law ful. Then the cal i -
phate will come to the Mahdi, the most aus pi cious indi -
vid u al on Earth, while he is sit ting at home.

The Mahdi will not emerge until unbe lief invades every -
where and is open ly com mit ted in pub lic. What rules in
such times is… the inva sion by unbe lief. That is its
power.

The Mahdi will emerge after the appear ance of such vile
cor rup tion, where by all pro hi bi tions are regard ed as
law ful.
