bulldog' by some, was a member of the Royal Society. Just like other members

of this institution, one of the most influential scientific organizations of the

United Kingdom, he was an atheist. The Royal Society, or The Royal Society

of London for the Improvement of Natural Knowledge, was an academy
founded in 1662. Most of the members of the institution were atheists and
