Advance a Student Culture of Decency, Empathy and Understanding
• Continue to implement a student-centered DEIB/Anti-Racist, anti-bias curriculum.
• Implement programs that will foster 1:1 connections among alumnae and students with an emphasis on connecting BIPOC students and alumnae.
• Continue programming that creates spaces to nurture BIPOC students, faculty and staff.
• Continue programming that creates spaces for white students, faculty, and staff to explore their racial identities and grow as allies.
Engage the Laurel Community Honestly and Transparently
• Develop an integrated DEIB/Anti-Racist communications plan.
• Continue to create avenues to engage parents and alumnae to increase their DEIB and Anti-Racist knowledge and provide tools to engage and support their students in their personal learning journeys.
Hold Ourselves Accountable
• Develop metrics, tools and processes that measure the effectiveness of all DEIB and Anti-Racist practices.
• Allocate resources—financial and human—to support the implementation plan.
