• When installing the EDU assembly, the camshaft timing gear must be turned anti-clockwise by
hand to the maximum retard angle position prior to installation.
• It is important to align the joints (A) on the motor with EDU with the cutouts (B) in the eccentric
shaft and align the pin holes (C) on the cam timing motor with the knock pins (D) on the No. 2
timing gear cover during installation.
Note: Do not use excessive force or use the bolts to draw the motor up to the timing gear cover No. 2.
