ALWAYS:

• Make sure the correct battery charger is connected to the car in the correct way (NOT on the battery)

and switched on

• Make sure the Diagnostic cable is plugged into ISTA first
Failure to do this could damage the car
• Plug diagnostic lead into car second 

• Put car into PAD mode

• Set up communication with the car

• Carry out a full systems test
