1 Insert all fingers of affected hand into the Hand Xtrainer including thumb.
2 Position the Hand Xtrainer half-way down the fingers.
3 Slowly open your hand and hold for 3 seconds.
4 Slowly return to starting position and repeat.
Tip: To further challenge, position the Hand Xtrainer at
the tips of the fingers.
Finger Spread
1 Place all four fingers of the affected hand in outside holes of Hand Xtrainer, half-way down the fingers.
2 In a slow, controlled fashion, separate fingers out and away from each other.
3 Hold 3-5 seconds.
4 Slowly return to starting position and repeat.
Tip: To further challenge, position the Hand Xtrainer at the tips of the fingers.
Two Finger Spread
1 Place two fingers of the affected hand in holes of Hand Xtrainer, half-way down the fingers.
2 Spread both fingers out away from each other.
3 Hold 3-5 seconds.
4 Slowly return to starting position and repeat.
Tip: Non-exercising hand can hold bottom of Xtrainer to help stabilize. Any two fingers can utilized on the affected hand.
Two Finger Pinch
1 Place tips of thumb and one finger in opposite holes of Hand Xtrainer.
2 Pinch thumb tip and fingertip together to squeeze Xtrainer.
3 Hold 3-5 seconds.
4 Slowly return to starting position and repeat.
Tip: Place fingertips in holes closer together to increase fine motor work.
Alternate Position: Place XTrainer on flat surface while performing exercise
