Pre-Formed Splints: Positioning & Functional Position Splinting
Pre-formed from Polyform® splinting material, these splints posi- tion the wrist, abduct the fingers and thumb, and maintain the palmar arch in a reflex-inhibiting position. Rolyan splints can be adapted easily and come complete with a strapping system for the fingers and thumb and two padded, self-adhesive D-ring straps for the forearm.
Sizing Guidelines:
To determine size, measure width of the 2nd to 5th MCP. X-Small – 3” – 31⁄4” (7.6 – 8.3cm)
Small – 31⁄4” – 31⁄2” (8.3 – 8.9cm)
Medium – 31⁄2” – 4” (8.9 – 10.2cm)
Large – Over 4” (10.2cm)
Anti-Spasticity Splints
Rolyan® Neutral Position Hand Splint.
Holds the hand and wrist in a neutral posi- tion for splinting spasticity. Includes self-adhesive straps. Adjustable as needed. Maintains approximately 20° wrist extension and slight
flexion of all finger joints by incorporating anatomical cone design and pre-molded metacarpal arch with thumb supported in opposi- tion. Recessed ulnar styloid area helps eliminate pressure. To size, measure width of 2nd to 5th MCP. 1/8” Polyform® material. Latex free.
Rolyan® Deluxe Spasticity Hand Splint.
Maintains wrist in neutral position to help reduce finger flexion spasticity. Protects the ulnar web space from contracture. Fabricated from 1/8” Polyflex II® splinting material, the
forearm trough provides support and maintains the wrist in a neutral position. Rigid cone inhibits long finger flexors and maintains thumb web space. Adjustable for precise fit. Includes self-adhesive straps. To size, measure width of 2nd to 5th MCP. Latex free.
