She considers them her best friends. Mary’s son Adam is an amazing young man who has Down syndrome. He was there during the interview and when she mentioned how much they all mean to her it brought him to tears. Mary want- ed to personally thank each of her kids because when she had self-doubts she feels they are her strength and they push her to do better.
Mary’s motto is “You’re never too old to live your dream. “As long as you have it in your heart and soul and it’s your passion that what I’m going to do.” Mary was 51 years old when she de- cided to buy and start racing her Super Pro Bike. She recalled during the inter- view that “it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” She is currently racing in her sec- ond season in Super Pro Bike with over 30 years of racing in her Sand Rail.
