Jordin DeWald Puts Forth Her Best Effort at Every Race
Jordin DeWald went to grade school in Barbers Hill, TX and graduated in 2013 from Barbers Hill High School. She wasn’t quite sure what career path she wanted to take right after high school so she just took a phlebotomy course and got her phlebotomy certification. She does plan on fur- thering her education in the med-
ical field, but is still unsure about
what area.
Jordin’s hobbies include
racing and once in a while fishing
with her mom and dad, when she is
not working and they have a week-
end off from racing. She loves
almost all kinds of food, but she
LOVES Mexican food, although
her favorite restaurant is Buffalo
Wild Wings. When racing allows
she would like to travel some, and
one place she would love to visit is
Germany. Most of the time right
now her vacation is going back up to southern Idaho to visit family.
Jordin’s family quote is “You don’t have to be the first ones at the racetrack, you just need to be the last ones to leave”. Her favorite saying is Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.”
Jordin played with
both dolls and cars as a kid. She was a tom- boy-girly girl. “I liked to wear my flower dresses with caterpillar boots and play in the mud but I’d still play with the hot wheel and bratz dolls” she shared.
Her favorite TV show is Ghost Adventures! Even though she always has to watch something different after an episode so she could sleep at night! LOL
One thing most people don’t know about her is that she had a cardiac ablation (which is having an extra nerve that she was born with burned off) and then raced her first super gas race 3 days later.

Jordin works at Octapharma Plasma, which is a plas- ma donation company. Her job title is phlebotomist, but she is also a trained medical screener and a machine technician. Her coworkers and the donors think it’s pretty cool that she drag races and she thinks they are still shocked that she does,
but they all support her and always wish her the best in the sport.
She is still trying to decide what her long term career will be, as she has changed her mind a few times between a business or medi- cal career, but she is leaning towards the medial field. When she is not racing she likes to hang out with family or friends, or maybe go out dancing if she doesn’t have to work late. If they made a movie of her life she would play herself. Her fa- vorite NHRA professional driver is Jack Beckman because he is always
very personable and takes as much time as he can to talk to everyone.
Jordin has been around racing her entire life, but she started racing jr. dragsters at age 11. Her dad used to race once in a while when she was growing up so she got the love for it watching him and their friends who raced at the time.
Jordin’s most memorable moment was in 2008 Divi- sion 4 Finals in Kennedale, TX while racing jr. dragsters. She won 15 straight rounds between Saturday and Sunday’s race. “I won the All Run 330 bracket race Saturday night and made ittothefi-
nal round
in my age
group Sun-
day but un-
fortunately
lost in the
finals. And
2018 when
I won my
first Super
Gas gam-
blers race,
which was also my first race win in a big car. “
Her marketing partners include RC Racing Compo- nents, Freedom Rocks Realty, and Mom and Dad. She is cur- rently looking for additional marketing partners!
Her dad inspired her to race. “I loved watching him race and he quit his racing and sold his race truck to help me start my career.” she said.
