Paegan Ellingson Loves Dogs and Racing
Nine year old Paegan Ellingson from Milwaukee, WI started racing in 2017. In 2016 she went to Road Amer- ica to try out the go-karts. She passed the go-kart up because it was going too slow. That is when she decided she wanted to race. She started racing Kid Karts at Badger Kart Club at Wolf Pav- ing Raceway in Dousman, WI in 2017.
Her most memorable race memory is when she won the Kid Kart Challenge in the Briggs Division.
Her marketing parters are Jer- ry’s Auto Repair, Johnson Creek, WI; Oak Creek Automotive, Oak Creek, WI; Bonafide Security Solutions, Brookfield, WI; Cranky Al’s, Wauwa- tosa, WI; Sandman Media Blasting, Jackson, WI; Raspante and Co Jewelers (works with Jon Jacobs Company in Mayville, WI); and O’Reilly Auto Parts of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Paegan’s Papa, Grammie, Dad and Jerry Eckhardt inspired her to start racing. Her Papa does most of the work
on the go-kart, but her dad and gram- mie help too.
She took 1st Place, in the Kid Kart Challenge, in September 2017. She races with Badger Kart Club at Wolf Paving Raceway in Dousman, WI. She runs a go-kart with a Birel Chassis annd a Briggs LO206 motor. She runs in the LO206 Sportsman Divison.
Her favorite race story was when she was leading the race and less then half a lap to go she ran out of gas. They were excited that she won the heat race and forgot to put gas in the kart!
There are a lot of girls that race against her and her best friend at the track is Adrinda. Paegan would like to get into NASCAR. She loves getting to go fast and have fun. Being a suc- cessful driver means you have to race as much as you possibly can and have fun, like one of her favorites, Natalie Decker and Natalie’s dad.
Paegan’s car is #61 because it is the number of her favorite local stock car driver, Jerry Eckhardt. She wanted her go kart to be just like his car, so she asked
him if she could use his number and colors. On race day she always wears a special necklace that she got from one of her sponsors, Frank at Raspante & Co.
Paegan is in the third grade. She has 4 dogs. Her favorote sport is racing, but she also likes to ride her bike when she has time. She likes to
