Fruits of the Spirit - Patience
There are so many examples of patience in the Bible, that it is a surprise that it can be such a challenging fruit to get to grips with! Abraham had to wait decades to have a family - even though God had promised him to be the Father of a nation, Joseph had to work his way up from the very bottom before he was in the place where God wanted him to be to save Israel, and Zechariah had waited so long for a son that he considered himself and Elizabeth to be barren.
But the example of patience that inspired me is a more earthly one, in many ways, but I think it points to a great hope for those of us who are following Christ now.
