He could have stolen her away But would have had a price to pay
His patience to accept his fate Helps me to learn that I must wait God’s timing shows His perfect plan And I must grasp this, if I can
To spend life following Jesus lead Reading scripture, taking heed Not seeking that He bends to me But humbly working, patiently
Like Jacob, I will seek to live
My life for Him, my years to give I’ll serve him as he might decree Happy just to know I’m free...
Because, although I’m pledged to God In truth, the saviour spilled his blood So I could have abundant life
Set aside all earthly strife
I only have to let him in, Praise his name, be free of sin Committed to His plan for me I’ll trust in you, my all in thee
