Laban, he knuckled down and spent another seven years of work to be able to secure her as his wife.
Genesis 29 - 18-20
Jacob was in love with Rachel and said, “I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.” Laban said, “It’s better that I give her to you than to some other man. Stay here with me.” So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.

I’ll set my shoulder to the plough,
I’ll toil beneath the midday sun
I’ll work for Laban seven years
I’ll watch the sheep till the watchings done
I’ve seen the sun shine through her hair I’ve met her long and languid gaze
I’ve known she has such gentle care I’ve planned a family with her to raise
I’ll wait, because its right to do
I’ll bide my time, and remain true
I’ll spend the time, and stay the course I’ll strive to earn to be with you
So Jacob learnt what patience is
He bowed his head, to capture his Most precious love, his wife to be Meant paying Laban’s seven year fee
But he chose this path most willingly Because he knew the prize to be
Each day he saw his precious one Which helped him wait the years to run
The lesson that he teaches me
Is how to wait most patiently
For things that I know to be true Like that my Lord will come back too
Though he could see his bride-to-be He was content to wait and see
