Develop the ‘Vision for Hopwell’:
the East Midlands’ first zero emissions settlement that delivers “exemplar” policy response
• Establishes the Derby-Nottingham sustainability corridor
• Integrates Ockbrook and Borrowash, to bring sustainability improvements to both (“better than compliance”)
• Undertake strategic land appraisal, socio-economic and technical research into the site and existing community to define key opportunities, amenities, shortfalls and aspirations
• Consider a range and diversity of land uses to deliver complementary employment, education and amenities alongside much-needed housing
