        Fancy a bit of posh nosh?  The Porch House in Stow claims to be the oldest pub in England, but, it
        must be said, while retaining that olde worlde feel it is thoroughly modern. Also has

        From Stow you’ll turn south for Bath

        Distance 52 miles. Time – who knows? You could spend days in the Cotswold villages.

        There is a short walk from Lower Slaughter to Upper Slaughter alongside the river and then up
        and over the fields. The walk is just under one mile and is most enjoyable on a fine day.

        In Upper Slaughter, if you fancy dining in a Michelin starred hotel, try Lords of the Manor . . . but
        cheap-as-chips it ain’t.When you are ready, make your way back to the A429 and turn right.

        When you have had your fill of Bourton-on-the-Water make your way back to the A429 and turn
        right for Stow-on-the-Wold.
