3.4 mi 51.1731, 0.1842 As you enter the village of Penshurst the entry to Penshurst Place is on
your r. Signposted.

From Penshurst Place to Hever

From the gates of Penshurst Place, turn r. and about 200 yards later, turn r. to remain on the
B2176. It’s not well signposted. There is a sign, but it’s on a wall on the left, parallel with the
road. Brilliant! Not! As a nav. check you’ll pass Fir Tree House about 50 yds after the turn.

1.3 mi 51.1885, 0.1819 Turn left s/p Edenbridge (B2027). Just after the turn there’s another oast
house.

0.7 mi 51.1978, 0.1765 At the T i/s turn l on to the B2027 s/p “Edenbridge B2027” and
“Chiddingstone / Hever / Westerham”.

Expert navigator checkpoint: Look for the Church of St Luke on your left shortly after making
that turn.

2.2 mi 51.2013, 0.1293 Follow the B2027 into the village of Bough Beech. At the i/s go str. ahd
on to Hever Rd following a brown and white sign “Hever Castle”.

Expert navigator tip: The Wheatsheaf Hotel will be on your left at that point.

At that point you will also see a brown and white s/p to Chartwell. If you are planning to visit
Chartwell you will return to this point after the visit to Hever Castle.

If you want to give Hever Castle a miss and go straight to Chartwell, turn right at that i/s, s/posted
“Chartwell”, cross over the railway bridge and immediately turn left. Then just follow the signs.

Otherwise, for Hever Castle . . .

1.9 mi 51.1864, 0.1107 Turn r into the carpark opposite the entrance to Hever Castle and
Gardens.

To get to London, go back along Hever Rd for 1.9 miles and in the village of Bough Beech turn l.
The Wheatsheaf will be on your right at that point. Follow that road to the B2042 and on to the
M25.

9.4 mi 51.2876, 0.1434 Merge on to the M25, the London Orbital Motorway s/p “M25 / (A21)”.

Follow the M25 in which ever direction best suits your destination.

If you are heading for Heathrow, take the West road.

From Hever Castle to Chartwell

Go back along Hever Rd for 1.9 miles and in the village of Bough Beech turn l. on to the B2027.
The Wheatsheaf will be on your right at that point.
