Stir and Roll Easy Biscuits
Yields About 16 Biscuits
Sweet milk version
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oil
2/3 cup milk
1. Sift the dry ingredients together.
2. Add the wet ingredients.
3. Stir with a fork until mixture cleans the sides of the bowl and forms a ball.
4. For drop biscuits drop spoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheet.
5. For rolled biscuits, knead 10 times without adding more flour.
6. Roll out to 1/4‐1/2 inch and cut into biscuits.
7. Bake at 475 degrees for 10—12 minutes.
Buttermilk version
1. Decrease baking powder to 2 teaspoons and add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
2. Use buttermilk in place of sweet milk.
3. All other instructions are the same.
