Who Are We?
Todd Macumber
Working with Chris Treanor and drawing upon my experiences building Risk
Services, I worked with our talented team to create the Specialty
Practices. My role is mostly on the organizational side, ensuring that our
model takes a differentiated approach while meeting the need of our
regions and clients. I’m a huge believer in this strategy and look forward to
continued growth and success.
When not spending time with my beautiful (nearly) three year old daughter
Anna, you can find me spending time with my significant other Christina, family or friends,
at the gym, a good dinner (hopefully on the grill), catching a Bears game, or relaxing at my
place downtown or at the lake.

Over the last 8 years at Hub I’ve been a producer in the northeast region
specializing in Real Estate. Being a specialist in Real Estate helped me
advance my career and grow my book of business. I credit most of my
success in producing to being a specialist and when the CSO role was
offered to me, I knew this was the next step in my career at Hub.
My personal time is solely dedicated to my family; my wife Martha and two
kids, Cecilia and Amelia. Our other passion is working out! When I’m home or
traveling you can always find me at a CrossFit gym first thing in the morning.
Hint-If you need me to fly out to a meeting just offer me a ribeye dinner!

I am responsible for Knowledge Management within Specialties. My focus is
to build an organization that grows by learning and collaboration. Constant
learning and collaboration builds a company that can adapt faster to
market changes, deliver better services to our clients and
provide new leadership opportunities to staff who exemplify these traits.
I do workout but I also like food [and beer] that proves very
counterproductive. I read, yes real books although increasingly I’ve found
podcasts and audiobooks are a lazier way to absorb the same data. Married, two kids
one of whom is a teenager. We were in Rome a few weeks ago and it is LEGAL in Italy
for 16 year-olds to drink. She legally ordered a white wine and the waiter didn’t even
blink [no, not even asked for ID like they’d ask in the States]. 3000 years of civilization
has its benefits.

I was one of the first team members to assist in the formation of the
Specialty Practices. Working closely with those individuals identified by
their HUBs to have expertise, we derived criteria to ensure we were
credentialing the right people with the right stuff. I serve the HUB
community by assisting in the creation of training that will provide growth
and networking opportunities for those in the Specialty Practices. I’ve been
at HUB for almost 12 years and I really love this company. My desire is to see it
continue to succeed.
Having moved away from most of my extended family 15+ years ago, I do not take for
granted any time I have with those I care about. Making the most of every minute I spend
with them is a priority. My children do come first. I also enjoy running, working out
(Orange Theory) and spending time outdoors. I’m no stranger to good craft beer (that
means more than IPA’s) and if you visit the Fraser Valley, I can hook you up. Which is
probably why I enjoy running and working out. Finally, to quote a country song, My
Favorite Season is Football! Go Birds. Did I tell you we won the Super Bowl in 2017?!!
