          Travis Biggert – Why Mid-America Values the Specialties


                                       Travis Biggert, CSO of Mid-America (MAM), was and still is a
                                       specialist.  He understands the value specializing brings to a region.

                                       “The beauty of having the specialties is we can take young
                                        producers, new producers, or generalists that we want to ramp up
                                        their productivity. We give them very specific instructions to get
                                        in the door in these certain industries, all while we know we have
                                        specialists behind it - we’ll have a high probability of closing.  This
                                        allows us to validate producers faster, which allows us to take an
                                        average producer and make them a better producer.
             When it comes to specialties, we have natural resources wrapped around that specialty
             that are unique and that are above and beyond what a local broker could afford. As I talk to
             producers at local brokerages that I go up against – I learn they don’t have the first tier of
             internal resources. But when you get into specialties, we have an entire team that focuses
             on just that.”
