KPI 1 | RESPONSE TO DISTURBANCE (FIRE AND DROUGHT)
The recovery of areas burnt in the dry season of 2020 has been exceptional, primarily due to the exceptional rainy
season of 2020/21. The recovery of herbaceous biomass since the last drought is also evident (see box-plot on
previous page), as is the gradual recovery of large herbivore biomass (see graph on previous page).
