Position: Midfielder
Jack Winsor is a young midfielder who has joined us on loan from Torquay United until the
end of the season.
James Mayne
Age: 36
Position: Defender
Defender James Mayne signed for his hometown club Bideford in 2017 after spending three
seasons with rivals Barnstaple Town. James previously played at Ilfracombe Town for six
years and prior to that for five years with Holsworthy.
Jamie Down
Age: 23
Position: Midfielder
Having previously made a few sporadic appearances for the club, midfielder Jamie Down
signed in the summer of 2023 from Dartmouth.
Javan Wright
Age: 24
Position: Midfielder
Winger Javan Wright joined the club in 2020 after originally being on the books of Torquay
United and later joining Barnstaple Town.
Jordan Ewing
Age: 25
Position: Forward
Jordan Ewing is a forward who joined the club in November 2023 from Saltash United.
Lewis Hill
Age: 24
Position: Forward
Lewis Hill joined the club in October 2023 from Willand Rovers and plays as a forward.
Matt Bye
Age: 34
Position: Midfielder
Experienced midfielder Matt Bye is back at the Sports Ground for his third spell with the club
having first signed back in 2010. Matt has almost 300 appearances for Bideford having also
represented Truro City, Tiverton Town and Helston Athletic. He began his career back with
his hometown club Exeter City where he spent three years between 2004-2007.
Niall Heeney
Age: 31
Position: Defender/Midfielder
Niall Heeney joined us from Barnstaple Town in the summer of 2018. Niall previously played
for Appledore before spending three seasons at Mill Road.
Ryan Turner
Age: 30
Position: Forward
Ryan Turner is in his second full time spell with the club having also spent some time at the
Sports Ground last season on loan from Barnstaple Town. Ryan first joined The Robins in
2017 where he spent four years before joining Helston Athletic and then Barnstaple. Ryan
returned to Bideford in the summer of 2023.
