Gloucestershire League
A crushing victory for Bristol Rovers Development at Abbeymead Rovers has seen them go two
points clear at the top of the table. Helena Costa led the spree with a six-goal haul and Megan Bloomer
contributed a further four, Poppy Wannell and Kassia Smith each netted twice and the total was
completed by Zoe Foster and Gift Ihejieto. Gloucester City scored eight times past Tuffley Rovers
and move back into second, Kate Ambrey finding the net four times along with Beth Davies, Rakiya
Morgan-King, Chloe Morgan and Chloe Golding. Bristol & West meanwhile returned to action with
a victory, Aimee Clark and Emma Bowden scoring the goals as they defeated Dursley Town 2-1,
Louise Pegler replying.
Just two points now cover the top four teams in Division Two, with Cheltenham Civil Service
holding on to top spot following their 1-1 draw with Longlevens, Harmony Wheeler scoring their goal
and Lauren Mills replying. Despite goals from Harriet Mason and Jess Jefferies, second placed Red
Falcon Women also drew, 2-2 with Gloucester City Development for whom Beth Smith netted
both. Shania Powell netted twice along with Emilie Channing-Cone and an own goal as AEK Boco Res
defeated Downend Flyers Res 4-2 to step up their challenge, Brooke Moore and Lilli Sargent
replying. Hollie Shone scored a hat-trick as Bradley Stoke blasted City of Gloucester 9-2. Chloe
Brown contributed a brace whilst Emily Jacklin and Leah Jennings were also on the scoresheet.
Southmead Community Sport are three points clear in Division Three once again after
running out 4-1 winners over Winchcombe Town. Jordan Scowen netted twice and she was joined
on the scoresheet by Imy Burrows and Shannon Hazell. Mitcheldean SC suffered a setback as they
were beaten 4-2 by Downend Flyers A, Leonie Blanc, Charlotte Hines and Samantha Williams all
scoring for Downend along with an own goal. SGS Olveston Utd Res defeated Andoversford 4-0
to continue their climb up the table whilst Tia Watts (2), Sarah Smith (2) and Hayley Layton gave
Ellwood Ladies a 5-1 victory over Ashton Keynes Youth. Bristol Ladies Union can still have a
say if they win their games in hand, they won 7-2 at Kingswood Women thanks to an Amber Garton
hat-trick, Raya Langford double, Rosie Dodds and Charlotte Lewis.
Greater London League
Comets head the chasing teams after the top two in the Premier Division following their 4-0 victory
over UCL Academicals in which Rosalind Duignan-Pearson, Michelle Keating, Diede Fennema and
Moria Sloan all scored. Samantha Read, along with an own goal, gave Headstone Manor a 2-0
success at Clapham Utd and Richmond & Kew were 3-0 winners at Regents Park Rangers
thanks to Charlotte Close (2) and Brooke Bridges.
Leyton Orient power on at the top of Division One North, heading the table by four points after
winning 2-0 at Enfield Town 3rds with goals from Katie Hunt and Shanice Taylor-Newsam. Emam
Welch (2), Kirsty Bradley (2) and Antonia Cole accounted for the goals as Actonians Ladies 3rds
defeated Hackney Res 5-1 and Luton Town Res were 4-1 victors over Forest Crusaders, Shanice
Lewis netting twice along with Grace Ladbury and Kimberley Newns.
One match was played in Division One South, Josie Alderman netting twice and Biff Norman-
Walker the other as South London Laces won 3-2 away to Balham Panthers, whose replies came
from Mary Hayden and Beth McIntosh.
Norfolk League
League leaders Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers went through to the semi finals of the League Cup
after winning 5-2 away to Long Stratton after extra time. Shanice Sutton hit a hat-trick, including two
in the extra period, with Chelsea Brister and Georgina Belton adding the others. Melissa Boulton and
Rebecca White scored the goals as Thetford Town advanced with a 2-1 victory over Sprowston
Ladies, whose consolation came from Lyla Studd, and University of East Anglia were 2-0 winners
over Bungay Town thanks to a brace from Ella Burnley. Caister Ladies complete the line up as they
eased to a 5-0 win at Blofield Utd, Leah Brown scoring four of the goals.
Beccles Town came through a tricky tie against Horsford FC Women, winning 4-1 to reach
the last eight of the League Plate. Lola Barber-King was on target twice along with Elisha Bower and
Mia Wilson. Ellen Boucher (2), Tabitha Mileham, Poppy Le-Beau and Natasha Frankland scored the
goals as Thorpe St Andrew won 5-0 at Shrublands Ladies and Aylsham Women defeated
North Walsham Town 5-1 thanks to a Sophie Lubbock hat-trick, Carly Allum and Hannah
Claughton. Freethorpe were 4-1 victors at Bulldogs Ladies courtesy of a Viktorija Miglane hat-trick
and Kiera Squires.
