Hellenic League Review…..

An early goal by Kevin Slack set Bishops Cleeve on their way to three more points
at Chipping Sodbury Town as they consolidated their position at the top of the
Premier Division. A second goal from Jack Watts 15 minutes from the end secured
the 2-0 win for the leaders.
Four teams share the second spot in a very close battle for a play-off place.
Bradford Town edged out Hallen 1-0 with a late goal from George Box.
Corsham Town and Malvern Town shared a 1-1 draw to both help and hinder
both of their promotion ambitions. Matthew Morris put Corsham ahead after half
an hour, but David Reynolds snatched a point for Malvern with six minutes
       remaining.
Another late goal came at Tuffley Rovers where Jake Hodgson scored two
minutes from time to give Cribbs all three points and a share of second place.
Narrowly behind are Westbury United who went one better with a 2-0 success
at Longlevens. Callum Demkiv opened the scoring after 32 minutes and Ryan Bole
completed the job in tome added-on at the end of the game.
Goals from James Campbell and Harlie Price earned Brimscombe & Thrupp a 2-
0 home win over another of the promotion hopefuls Westfields.
The relegation fears of Calne Town have not receded following a 2-1 home defeat
by Wiltshire rivals Royal Wootton Bassett Town. John Mills and Alfie Presley
netted either side of half time for Bassett who came from behind to win after Jamie
       Walters had fired Calne ahead.
Shrivenham’s recent poor form continued when they lost by the odd goal in
seven at home to Hereford Lads Club. Jamie Stones 2 and James Rockett netted
in vain for the home side, as Hereford took all three points thanks to Adam
Newbury 2, Will Loughman and Sam Pearson.
Fairford Town and Lydney Town fought out a goal less draw.

The promotion race in Division One took a major turn at the weekend when
challengers Clanfield 85 were thrashed 7-0 at Hereford Pegasus. Kyle Panniers
hit a hat trick and there was one each for Cawley Cox, Matthew James, Carlos
       Moreira and Saul Thomas.
The defeat allowed Studley to move clear by winning 2-0 at home to Shortwood
Unied thanks to Odane Barnes and Josh Westwood.
Worcester Raiders eased to a 3-0 success at another of the contenders
Cheltenham Saracens with goals from Sam Carey, Isaac Cooper and an own goal
to severely dent the hopes of the home side.
Cirencester Town Development trounced Moreton Rangers 8-2. On target
were Sean McKeon 3, Aiden Bennett, Max Lloyd, Joe Raphael, Ben Whitehead and
       Scott Urwin.
Jordan Cooper, Ryan Halford and Jeremiah Idowu netted for Newent Town as
they won 3-1 at Abingdon United for whom Matt Taylor found the net.
Bourton Rovers continue to struggle following a 2-0 home defeat by Littleton.
An own goal and one from Michael Boyd clinched the three points for the visitors.
Malmesbury Victoria ran out 4-2 winners at home to FC Stratford thanks to
strikes from Ashley Alchin, Kyle Witt 2 and Chris Zebroski. Dan Atkins and Louis
MacDonald reduced the arrears for Stratford.
Milton United and Stonehouse Town shared a 0-0 draw.
