Curtis Dunn both scored inside the opening 15 minutes to help Odd
Down ease to a 3-0 win over basement boys Bishop Sutton. The most
impressive team performance of the day probably belonged to Longwell
Green Sports who ended Wells City’s eight-match winning streak
with a relatively comfortable 4-2 victory. Doubles from both Liam Oswin
and Fin Burnell did the business for Longwell Green, who led for almost
the entirety of the 90 minutes, with Fin Wilkinson scoring twice in defeat
       for sixth-placed Wells.

       Toolstation to end sponsorship

       of Western League

Due to Toolstation taking their community support in a different direction they have
advised that their sponsorship of the Western League will come to an end following
       the end of this season.
We have for many years enjoyed a wonderful working relationship that has enabled
us to support and reward our clubs on many levels as well as benefiting work
behind the scenes at the League.
The Board of Directors on behalf of everyone associated with the Western League
wish to record their utmost appreciation to Toolstation for the benefits afforded to
them and wish them all the best for the future success.
A spokesperson from Toolstation says: “We are incredibly proud to have supported
non-league football over the past 20 years, thanks to our relationships with the
Western League. It has been one of the longest-running continuous sponsorships
in football, and has meant we have been able to really make a difference in the
sport. Although we are now taking our community support in a different direction,
it has been fantastic to see our sponsorship help with the development of all the
teams, players and supporters involved in the league and we wish everyone well
       for the future.”
Western League Chairman John Pool said: “As a chapter in our league history
closes, another now opens. The Western League will actively be looking to forge
new commercial partnerships that will support our clubs on and off the pitch. We
will never forget our friends at Toolstation and I would like to take this opportunity
to place on record our sincere thanks for their support and wish them the very best
       for the future.”
In the meantime, the Board of the Western League actively seek new sponsorship
       opportunities.
