Genero Adran League
Swansea City continue to stretch the pace at the top of the league, thanks to a 2-0 victory
against Pontypridd Town. The visitors fought hard to stay in the game but midway through
the second half, Katy Hosford opened the scoring for the Swans and substitute Chloe Tiley
sealed the points with eight minutes remaining.
Cardiff City Women made sure of keeping pace with Swansea, by winning 2-0 away
to Aberystwyth Town. The home side went into the game on the back of a good run of form
but it was highly rated young striker Phoebie Poole who was to have the say on the day by
scoring both goals, giving City the lead in the 32nd minute and adding her second just before
half time.
Following a defeat seven days earlier, Cardiff Met Women bounced back with a 3-0
success at Port Talbot Town which means they stay three points off the pace. Laura May
Walkley gave the Archers a first half lead which was doubled on the stroke of half time by
Elianna Chavez, with Emily Allen rounding off the scoring midway through the second half.
The two teams who started the day at the foot of the table met each other in an
important clash and it was Barry Town Utd who were to lift themselves off the bottom,
courtesy of a 3-1 victory over The New Saints. Barry took a first half lead through Manon
Pearce and after a Lexie Harrison penalty had brought the scores level ten minutes after the
break, Mackenzie Olden put Barry back in front and Sian Rees wrapped up the win for her
side with the third goal.
