Ladies who are back on top after winning 1-0 away to Cheadle Town Stingers. Third
placed Crewe Alexandra meanwhile scored nine times without reply past Wigan
Athletic. West Didsbury & Chorlton were 2-0 victors at Mossley Hill and Salford
City Lionesses defeated Morecambe 4-2, whilst Fleetwood Town Wrens returned
from AFC Darwen with a 2-1 victory under their belts.
Blackburn Community SC have taken over at the top of Division One North
after a 3-1 victory away to Sir Tom Finney, whose consolation came from Caitlin Walker.
Workington Reds are in third following their 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley, Caitlin
Davis scoring their goal. Penrith AFC Ladies beat Preston North End 5-3 and remain
handily placed, as do Haslingden who notched up a fourth straight win when beating
Penwortham Town 5-1. Chorley Women Development are in mid-table after winning
5-2 against Carlisle Utd.
Chester FC Women are the new leaders of Division One South, heading a trio of
teams on goal difference after winning 5-2 at Runcorn Linnets. Previous leaders
Warrington Wolves were beaten for the first time, 1-0 by Alder FC Women.
Northwich Vixens meanwhile beat Hindley Juniors 3-2 and are now the division's last
remaining unbeaten team. Curzon Ashton head the chasing pack, they were 6-1 victors
away to Wythenshawe Amateurs and Mersey Valley won 5-2 at West Kirby.
South West League
Ilminster Town continue to head the Premier Division by two points after their 5-2 victory
over Forest Green Rovers. Harriet Kelly (2), Sian Chapman, Jodi Cornwall and Abigail
Meyer scored the goals for Ilminster, with Sian Towler and Georgia Vandries replying.
Second placed Sherborne Town won 3-2 away to previously unbeaten Torquay Utd.
Gemma Mountain netted twice and Becky Narramore the other for the Zebras, whilst
Torquay's scorers were Helen Kukor and Daisy Self. Libby Davies scored eight times for
Wootton Bassett Town in their win against Bideford, Poppy Wannell and Jorja Halden
each added braces and the total was completed by Madeline Elliott and Laura Jefferies.
Charlotte Cross (2) and Caitlin Berry were on target for Bishop's Lydeard as they won 3-2
in their local derby with Middlezoy Rovers, who netted through Sophie Hart and Chloe
Snook.
Annys Turner scored twice, with Chloe Campbell and Natalie Coles adding the
others, as Bristol Rovers kept up the pace in the Northern Division with a 4-1 win away to
Weston Mendip, whose consolation came from Abigail Mills. Second placed Frampton
Rangers battled out a 1-1 draw with Downend Flyers, Lucie Hulin giving them the lead
and Ellie Brockton scoring an equaliser. Bristol Ladies Union returned to winning ways
with a 4-0 success away to Weston-super-Mare, thanks to a Hannah Price double, Lily
Broad and Jessica Frazer. Olivia Goozee scored twice and Allana Baker the other as Oldland
Abbotonians won for the first time, 3-1 against Cheltenham Town Development
whose reply came from Rebecca Donnelly.
The top two in the Eastern Division table did not play on Sunday and Chipping
Sodbury Town have moved into third after beating Paulton Rovers 5-2. Sophie Kelly
scored four of the goals for Sodbury and Brodie Olive added the other, whilst Paulton
responded with strikes from Martha Slocombe and Eleri Webber. AEK Boco meanwhile
scored seven without reply away to Swindon Supermarine, Jessica Titcomb netting twice
whilst Jayde Cook, Shania Powell and Beccie Dean also got on the scoresheet.
Plymouth Argyle U23 have gone back to the top of the Western Division
following their 6-3 victory over Liverton Utd in which Megan Bishop bagged a hat-trick
along with a Wensday Wise brace and Sophie Reynolds penalty. Despite scoring through
Eve-Charlotte Moore (2) and Elizabeth O'Reilly, previous leaders Helston Athletic were
beaten 5-3 by Feniton for whom Megan Williams hit a hat-trick, with Kate Finch and
Brittany Harris adding the others.
